The Agent General comments that "although this list is always destroyed as soon as it has been seen by the Official Secretary it does seem possible that there are channels through which a copy might get into enemy hands, in which case, much of the information which has been so carefully suppressed is divulged in a concise form. So far as this Office is concerned we only wish to know when to post our Australian mails, also to guard against sending duplicates by the same steamer, and it should be possible to furnish this information without having to announce the names of the vessels".
