ANNEX. COMMENTS ON SOME OF THE MORE CONTROVERSIAL THESES OF GENERAL SIKORSKI'S APPRECIATION. (a) Page 2, Paragraph A. 3(a). We do not agree that the Red Army is grouped offensively vis a vis Germany, nor do we think that any military offensive by the Soviet Government is to-day within the realms of possibility. (b) Page 4, Paragraph B. I(i). We do not agree that a war against the Soviet would necessarily be unpopular in Germany; at any rate in the Army it would probably be the reverse, as General Sikorski himself states in the concluding sentence of his Paragraph A.
