Africa: German Penetration of Note by Secy.

Mediterranean to the port of Tripoli. Today we have a report in the press that the Germans are about to demand the Cameroons from the Vichy Government and it is quite on the cards that that government will offer little if any resistance. 2. Whether this report is true I cannot say, but from the point of view of the German Command I should say it was extremely likely. 3. It would seem that what the Germans are aiming at, art from the intentions they may have in North West Africa, is to go across the Sahara, overwhelm Nigeria and join up with the Cameroons.
