Propaganda. Report by the J.I.C.

1 Apr 1941

Frequent complaints have been received from other diplomatic missions abroad. H.M. Minister at Helsinki has reported that surprise has been caused in Finland by the publication of Reuter's statement of April 3rd to the effect that Great Britain has hitherto received only 1,000 aircraft from the United States. Prior to this statement the general impression in Finland was that a greater number had been received, more especially as according to a statement of December 27th last 743 aircraft had been delivered from the U.S.A.
