Air forces-required:Long range bombers 240 Dive bombers 120 Bomber reconnaissance 120 S.E. fighters 240 T.E. fighters 80 Transport 300 (plus 100 for normal traffic to back areas). Note: These figures are the maximum likely to be required and might have to be drastically reduced if operations were still in progress elsewhere, or if the scale of attack against the United Kingdom was not to be affected. Time required:The time required would depend on whether Spain were hostile and on the proportion of air-borne troops used.
