Mediterranean Fleet: Air Threat to the Report by the J.I.C.

1 Apr 1941

E C R E T. WAR CABINET. JOINT INTELLIGENCE SUB-COMMITTEE. AIR THREAT TO THE MEDITERRANEAN FLEET. Note by the Secretary. In accordance with the request of the Strategical Section Joint Planning Staff, the attached paper (J.I.C.(41) 172) has been approved by the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee. The Sub-Committee have asked me to point out that, whereas they agree with the substance of the report, they are not in entire agreement with the form in which it has been presented. In view, however, of the urgency of the question, they are satisfied that the paper represents the position as they see it to-day.
