3. There is also the question of the Directors of Intelligence considering from time to time information which may indicate the trend of events in the immediate future. I suggest that it would not be a waste of time if the Directors met occasionally or when any particular information has been received in order to present to the Chiefs of Staff a warning, or their appreciation of the possible trend of events. 4. Lastly, I am a little concerned with the role which the Axis Planning Section is at present playing.
