The Axis Planning Section is impressed with the possibility that the supply position in aviation spirit may be or may become a limiting factor in Japanese strategy. Even if the position does not prove to be such as to restrict the operations of the Japanese Air Force in the near future, it may be that the need to secure supplies of aviation spirit may exert an important influence on the direction of any Japanese move.
