7. At 1100 hrs. 19th March, a conference was held of all officers taking part, the Vice Admiral, Dover, presiding. Security arrangements were good. Major Case was called on to give final advice on security and on the conduct of officers and men in the event of capture by the enemy. 8. At 1500 hrs. a message was received by No. 12 Commando at Canterbury that the operation would take place, subject to final confirmation, at 1700 hrs. All ranks of No. 12 Commando were, therefore, informed and troop officers were in process of holding their own conferences and making preparations, when, at about 1600 hrs.
