GERMANY (a) "British troops who landed at Lofoten without a single casualty were protected by radiomagnetic waves operated from a hush-hush vessel." (Note: Also for France). (b) "The American Consolidated bombers which are flying across the Atlantic are each bringing two Mohawk fighters ready for assembly." (Note: Also for France). (c) "British coastal defence troops have been issued with insulated uniforms and specially reinforced rubber boots and gloves." (d) "Invasion barges are being fitted with fire extinguishers" (e) "Italian medical officers in Libya are refusing to hand over supplies for German wounded." (f) "There is bubonic plague in Libya, that is one of the reasons why Wavell is not advancing." (Note: The Committee suggested that if there was objection to the second clause of this sib the first clause could go out alone).
