United Kingdom: German Invasion of Report

1 Jan 1941

C. Conclusions. Upon the assumptions set out above we therefore estimate that the maximum daily total of supplies which the Germans could land in the area between North Foreland and Dungeness would be:Initial stages After 7 days (a) Through the Ports 350 1,600 (b) Through the Beaches 5,200 5,200 Total 5,550 6,800 This maximum would be exceedingly difficult to attain. Any substantial destruction that could be effected on the enemy line of supply, sea communications, exits from the beaches and road communications by the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force and our long range guns must greatly reduce this figure.
