ENCLOSURE. I.S.S.B. /O/M. Operation ACONITE. Notes extracted from a Report. The following notes are extracted from a Report received in connection with the then impending departure of troops concerned in this Operation:"The absence of security, in the accepted sense of that word, in the Special Service Battalions is marked. As has already been noted, it is difficult to conceal the nature of their training from the local public. The danger of leakage in these respects was enhanced by the decision to cancel the operation for the performance of which they were "keyed up".
