It is suggested that the real destination and details be divulged only in Malta at a time to be selected by the Army officer in charge of the Operation, who is already aware of the real facts. It is not possible to arrange this now, as the actual date of the Operation is dependent upon flying weather, and it is thought that, in view of the careful rehearsing which will be required, it should be left to the discretion of the officer in charge. We are in close touch with the D.C.O. and D.C.O. (Air) representatives, in the matter, and have discussed it with them.
