ANNEX A. With reference to J.I.C. (40) 382 (Final) dated 23rd November, 1940, "on the situation in French North Africa and Syria in the event of General Weygand breaking away from Vichy". The Executive Planning Section have been instructed to re-submit a report on the forces which General Weygand would require to hold French Morocco against an attack through Spanish Morocco, and on the degree of support which we could hope to provide at the present time. 2. Since this question was asked on the 25th November the position has been changed somewhat by General Wavell's success in the Middle East, and I am wondering whether the J.I.C.
