Operation Marie - Security Measures. Memorandum

1940

ANNEX A. I.S.S.B. No. 60 (I) 9. OPERATION "MARIE" SECURITY MEASURES. Memorandum by the Inter-Services Security Board. 1. We have considered the question of ensuring the security of the preparation of this Operation as instructed verbally by the Secretary of the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee. 2. We have consulted the Security Officer on Free French Headquarters and an officer on No. 20 Military Mission on the general question of Security. It appears that, owing to the composition of French Headquarters, there is no chance whatever of any operation being kept secret once it becomes known to the staffs.
