5. We therefore desire to know:(a) which line should be followed in relation to the intention to eliminate Italy (i) concealment with a View to strategical surprise, or (ii) avowal of the aim in the hope of destroying Italian morale in advance? (b) whether attendance by a liaison officer from the I.S.S.B. at the weekly meetings between representatives of the propaganda Departments and the Joint Planning Staff is approved.
