LAGENS (Terceira Island). Air France selected this as a likely site for an aerodrome, but permission to make one was never obtained. HORTA (Fateira). (Fayal The only possible site on Island). the Island for a landing ground. Prevailing winds however do not fit with the greatest available length of ground and site would probably be unsuitable for aircraft requiring long take-off. (ii) Seaplane Stations. There are seaplane stations as follows:HORTA (Fayal Island). Good, with facilities, used by Pan-American Clipper Service.
