(iii) Air. Disposition of Spanish Air Forces in Spanish Morocco and in Southern Spain. 7. Aircraft. In Spanish Morocco proper:Fighters 29 Bombers Reconnaissance 17 Seaplanes 4 In Southern Spain within easy flying distance from air bases in Spanish Morocco:Fighters 44 Bombers 45 Reconnaissance 8 8. Very few of the above aircraft are modern and all have already been subjected to service in the Civil War. There is no lack of trained pilots. 9. It is estimated that. owing to lack of spare parts and poor maintenance, not more than 50% of these aircraft are in a serviceable condition.
