Operation "Brisk". Note by Secy. Covering Memo. By I.S.S.B.

1 Jul 1940

ANNEX A. OPERATION "BRISK". Memorandum by the Inter Services Security Board. 1. We have considered the instructions contained in J.I.C. (40) 336, dated 25th October, 1940, on the subject of Operation BRISK. 2. In designing the original cover, we were most anxious to keep the present force BRISK (i.e. commandos) and force PARADOX entirely separate. 3. We intimated that BRISK was being prepared for operations either at SYLT, TEXEL, HAVRE or the CHERBOURG peninsula. Maps and air photos have already been issued.
