FACTORS. German Forces available. Naval. 7. German Naval forces consist of:2 old battleships 2 new battleships (Bismark completed ex-trials Tirpitz nearing completion). 2 battlecruisers 2 pocket battleships (one badly damaged) 3 8" cruisers (Seydlitz completed ex-trials) 4 6" cruisers (one may be ineffective) 15 destroyers Various T.B.s and E.B.s 90 U-boats. Germany is therefore deficient in heavy ships (until the new battleships join the fleet), and also in long-range light craft, except U-boats.
