Equipment. 10. Gas equipment in use by the Japanese Army includes :(i) 90 mm. & 160 mm. Gas Mortars. (ii) 50 kg. & 20 kg. Gas Cylinders. (iii) 20 kg. & 6 kg. Gas Mines. (iv) Self propelled and towed tank carts. (v) Toxic smoke and lachrymatory gas generators. (vi) Gas shell and combined H.E. and gas shell for 75 mm. and 10.5 cm. guns and 15 cm. howitzers. Further details of the above are given in Appendix A. Training and Experience. 11. The Japanese Army have been using toxic smokes and lachrymatory gases in China during the past three years.
