Anderson shelters "Which do not give sufficient protection against bombs." Referring to the bombardment of London, it was said that basement shelters afforded no protection against Germany's new type of explosive bomb. (e) "The New British Broadcasting Station" asked: If the R.A.F. is so good, why could it not have saved London? "The answer lies in the ruins of our capital." (f) Zeesen in its broadcast in German for the Far East on 23rd September said that since 10th August, 6,000 industrial establishments, 1,400 of which were in the London area, have been seriously damaged.
