The quantities involved are unknown, but it is thought that the only appreciable stocks concerned would be old stocks of 7.5 cm. shell (mustard and phosgene). MILITARY FORCES. Chemical warfare Units numbers and state of training. 9. Since 1934 the Germans are known to have experimented with various forms of Chemical Warfare and Smoke Units and Flame Throwing Detachments, but no accurate information as to the final form of the organization is available.
