ANNEX 'B' Letter from the Secretary, Chiefs of Staff Committee, to the Director of Military Intelligence, War Office. "Reference to your secret and personal letter of the 17th August, you will remember that a proposal was put to the Chiefs of Staff that the American Ambassador in London should be given the daily "Dominion wire". The Chiefs of Staff agreed to this, but subsequent to the meeting it was learned that the Directors of Intelligence were opposed to this procedure on security grounds.
