(a) COPY TELEGRAM. FROM the United Kingdom High Commissioner in New Zealand. Dated 9.8.40., Received 11.8 a.m., 9.8.40. No. 322. Your unnumbered most secret and personal telegram of 28th May. I have reason to know that military and diplomatic appreciations now frequently telegraphed are highly valued by New Zealand Prime Minister, as are also of course D.W. telegrams and Military resumes and weekly summaries sent by ocean mail. Together these cover the facts and our own plans. D.W. telegrams also include occasional deductions as to enemy's intentions e.g.
