Enemy Propaganda. "Front Line Reports". Note by Secy. Circulating Proposal from Department E.H. Regarding Suggested Improvement in British Propaganda by Broadcasting of "Front Line Reports"

1 Jul 1940

(b) To see some of the defences of the country against invasion. Subsequent broadcasts would give greatly needed colour to the present propaganda campaign which aims at discouraging or misleading the Germans in their schemes of invasion. Moreover, such broadcasts would be an excellent means of disseminating certain suitable rumours about Britain's defences. 7. Department E.H. is of the opinion that the only efficient way of obtaining these reports is through the services of an observer who is at once a trained writer and is familiar with the means and objects of our propaganda.
