ANNEX A. In arriving at the conclusions set out in Paper No. J.I.G.(40) 174, the Sub-Committee have been influenced by the following considerations:1. The present system of dealing with intelligence is that the raw material is collected from a great number of different sources and passed to the Intelligence Sections of the three service Ministries. Certain special kinds of intelligence such as enemy wireless and press propaganda are, in the first instance, studied by special Departments (e.g. Department E.H) and summaries or digests on this kind of information are then passed on to the service Departments.
