APPENDIX. SECRET. EXAMPLES OF PUBLICATIONS BY THE PRESS OF INFORMATION WHICH WOULD BE OF VALUE TO THE ENEMY. Summary of Publication in question. 1. Daily Sketch 1st June reproduced the substance of certain questions which were asked in the House of Commons indicating that certain places in this country were unprotected and would form admirable targets for German bombardment. 2. Sunday Pictorial 2nd June referred to a "hospital ship carrying the last defenders of Calais" 3. The Evening Standard of 1st June suggested that parachutists dropped say on the wild and lonely Welsh mountains might attack the dams and huge reservoirs in Elan Valley and drew attention to the very serious consequences which would follow.
