APPENDIX B. HITLER'S BOAST: "WAR WILL BE CARRIED INTO THE COUNTRY OF OUR ARCH-ENEMY". Two matters are of common knowledge. First, Hitler wishes to avenge himself of this country for her stand against his plans for personal and national agrandisement and has boasted of his ability to carry the horrors of war into this country. Secondly, the barbarity and ruthlessness shown by the Germans against inoffensive civilian populations has left him no further margin for excesses to be perpetrated as reprisals against defensive activities by a determined civilian population like our own.
