Topographical Intelligence. Report

1 May 1940

State of Topographical Information at present available. 3. We have summarised, at Appendix 'A', the existing state of topographical information as supplied to us by the Service Ministries. We would emphasise however, that it has not been possible, in the limited time available, and in view of the large amount of urgent intelligence work going on, to make a detailed survey of the question. We would stress that it is not possible, without the most careful and detailed study, carried out in the light of a particular operational setting to judge whether the information available for any area is adequate or otherwise.
