United Kingdom. Invasion Of: - East Kent. Note by Director of Military Intelligence, War Office. Note by Secy. Covering:

1 May 1940

ANNEX A. Note by the Director of Military Intelligence. In Paper No. J.I.C.(40) 56 an attempt was made to appreciate in some detail the problem of a German Invasion of the United Kingdom. After preliminary discussion that paper was shelved pending the receipt of more evidence. It is now suggested that the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee should report upon how the Germans could stage an attack upon East Kent and how and by what means they would launch and maintain an airborne and/or seaborne force in that area.
