EVENTS. Landings commenced at dawn. The force had come from Lippstadt, Baderborn, Werl and Lippspring. This area is between 100 to 150 miles from The Hague. The first stage was dropping of parties of parachutists over a wide area. Each party was apprently dropped for a special role. Separate parties had detailed instructions including directions to reach their locations, to seize individual officers specified by name and residence, the Queen and Government officials. A good many officers and soldiers were shot.
