(ii) Seizing the economic resources of Holland. FACTORS. Dutch Strength and Dispositions. 6. Navy. The Dutch maintain no naval forces in Europe capable of offensive operations. A certain number of coast defence units are available for the local defence of ports. 7. Army. The Dutch Army consists of:(i) The Covering Troops, which include a number of battalions and military police units responsible for manning the frontier, the demolition belts and for watching parts of the coast.
