Italian African Possessions. Economic Intelligence Note by Secy.

1 Jan 1940

6. If not already done it is therefore suggested that the Ministry of Economic Warfare be asked to take on this task in respect of Italian East Africa and Libya and that I may be informed when it is no longer necessary for this Centre to collect and collate the economic and trade data concerning these territories. In the meantime M.E.I.C. will carry on this work until we are informed that the Ministry of Economic Warfare are prepared to take over responsibility for it. (Signed) W.J. CAWTHORN, Colonel, G.S.
