Information to Commanders in Chief, Home Fleet, Home Forces and Fighter and Bomber Commands. Note by Secy. Covering Note by War Office Proposing Means by Which to Make Available

1 Sep 1939

INFORMATION TO COMMANDERS-IN-CHIEF, HOME FLEET, HOME FORCES AND FIGHTER AND BOMBER COMMANDS. General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Home Forces is not in a position to appreciate intelligence regarding German strategy for a possible raid or invasion of Great Britain. It is evident that such an appreciation must be the combined work of the three intelligence services. It is further considered essential that General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Home Forces and corresponding commanders of the other services should be kept informed of the evidence in support of possible German intentions.
