ANNEX I. Memorandum for Lieut.Colonel Redman. Reference 65/3/EM.DN. I. The question of cipher correspondence between French and British authorities overseas was (originally) raised at the Aden Conference. This question has been raised again:1. For the indispensable exchange of information between General Officers Commanding the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan and the Colonel Officer Commanding on the Niger-Chad borders. 2. For the effective working of liaison within all other allied theatres of operations overseas, which might come into being.
