ORGANISATION OF INTELLIGENCE IN SOUTH EAST ASIA (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(46) 71st Meeting (0) Minute 1) THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Minuteby the Secretary, covering a draft report to the Chiefs of Staff, to which was attached a draft telegram as from the Chiefs of Staff to the Commanders-in-Chief, South East Asia, prepared in accordance with the instructions of the Sub-Committee at their previous meeting on this subject. REAR ADMIRAL PARRY suggested the inclusion of an additional paragraph in the report on the lines that with the cessation of Supreme Command it was difficult to see to whom the Director of Intelligence owed direct allegiance, and that his existence had not done away with the necessity for a Joint Intelligence Committee, and that in point of fact, the J.I.C.
