(iii) It was the responsibility of the Control Office for Germany and Austria to establish the new organisation but the Sub-Committee should be kept informed of the progress and work of the organisation, in order to avoid any duplication of effort or man-power. (iv) It was hoped that eventually a similar organisation would be established for Austria. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:(a) Took note, with the above observations of the Charter far the proposed Scientific and Technical Branch of the Intelligence Division, Control Commission for Germany.
