THE SUB-COMMITTEE :(a) Instructed the Secretary to circulate for their approval a draft letter to the Chairman of the Standing Inter-Departmental Committee on Security, inviting their attention to the situation as disclosed in discussion, and requesting his views on the steps which might be taken to counter it. (b) Invited the Air Ministry to circulate a brief for use by the representatives of the Foreign Office and Service Ministries at the forthcoming meeting of the Deputy Chiefs of Staff on Wednesday, 2nd October, with regard to the proposal by the Ministry of Supply for the sale of manufacturing rights to certain countries.
