AIR COMMODORE VINTRAS, in referring to the existing directive@, suggested that what was required was to alter paragraph 10 to read "Board of Trade" for "Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee". MR. WOOD said that the Board of Trade, being the most interested Ministry, was in fact the co-ordinating Department. The British Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee, however, was still a repository of Secret information, since teams sponsored jointly by Service Departments and the Ministry of Supply were despatched through British Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee channels, and it was, therefore, doubtful whether Service Ministries should divorce all interest from the British Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee.
