2. INFORMAL COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE ON DEFENCE SCIENCE THE SUB-COMMITTEE were informed that the Chiefs of Staff Committee had invitedthe Deputy Chiefs of Staff Committee, in consultation with the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee, to examine certain questionsø put forward by Sir Henry Tizard, in connection with the forthcoming Dominion Defence Conference. In discussion on this question, THE SUB-COMMITTEE expressed the opinion that the matter should he examined from the Intelligence Security point of view, once more detailed plans or proposals had been formulated, in the light of the relevent strategic considerations with which it was understood the note by Sir Henry Tizard was more concerned at the present stage.
