2. TOPOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION CONCERNING RUSSIA THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a minute by the Director of the Joint Intelligence Bureau dated 20th May, 1946, which had been circulated to the members of the Sub-Committee, with reference to a minute* by the Secretary. MR. CACCIA suggested that Appendix 'A' to the minute by the Director of the Joint Intelligence Bureau might be sent to Mr. Roberts in Moscow, with a short covering letter. He circulated a draft covering letter accordingly, and asked, if the Sub-Committee agreed with this suggestion, whether Departments would inform the Secretary, during the course of that afternoon, of any comments they might wish to make on the draft letter.
