In discussion, it was suggested that the secretary might seek the advice of the Secretary, Chiefs of Staff Committee as to whether such a decision by the Sub-Committee 'X' should be reported or referred to the Chiefs of Staff, or whether the Sub-Committee were empowered to authorise the implementation of this decision without reference to the Chiefs of Staff. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:(a) Agreed that the Inter-Service Topographical Department, Oxford, could be closed down by the 30th June, 1946. (b) Instructed the Secretary to seek the advice of the Secretary, Chiefs of Staff Committee on the point at 'X' above.
