Provided the Americans supplied us with copies of their reports, however, his Department would be satisfied. BRIGADIER HIRSCH said that there might be a danger that the arrangements, whereby an American unit took over monitoring in the Middle East, might not be continued as a long-term commitment owing to the state of flux in the Intelligence Organisation in Washington. In discussion, certain amendments were suggested to the draft report.
