PHOTO INDUSTRIAL SURVEY OF JAPAN THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a minute by the Secretary (J.I.C./1353/45, dated 20th September, 1945), covering a minute from the Director of Intelligence (Operations) (663/45, dated 19th September, 1945), stating that there were at present some 12 R.A.F. photographic interpreters working with the G.2 Interpretation Section in Washington, this Section being largely engaged on a photo industrial survey of Japan. It was suggested that the results of this work would be of value to a number of agencies in this country and in view of the assistance that British personnel were giving it was recommended that the Americans be asked through the J.I.C.
