MR. CRESWELL said that, although we were not likely to gain much more information from Speer, he felt that an effort should be made to retain his subordinates for further interrogation. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:Instructed the Secretary to send a telegram to the Major General, Intelligence, Control Commission, taking note of the proposal to release Spear, but requesting further details concerning those of his subordinates also involved, and suggesting that, in future cases of this nature, notice might be given to the Sub-Committee in order that the preparation of future Intelligence reports could be planned accordingly.
