3. PROPOSED NEW ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FIELD INFORMATION AGENCY, TECHNICAL (BRITISH COMPONENT). THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a report of the Joint Intelligence Committee of the Control Commission for Germany (British Element) on the proposed new establishment for the Field Information Agency, Technical (British Element) which had been circulated as J.I.C.(45) 269 dated 9th September, 1945. BRIGADIER WAY pointed out that it would soon become impracticable to argue that it was necessary to retain 200 personnel on the establishment of the British Element merely to enable it to collaborate with the large staff of the American component of F.I.A.T.
