THE SUB-COMMITTEE:(i) Agreed that the problem of providing longterm but temporary intelligence staffs for our occupying forces in Germany and the Far East and to meet our security commitments in the Middle East should be dealt with first. (ii) Invited Brigadier Way to revise the War Office and to prepare a draft report to the Chiefs of Staff in the light of the discussion; and to send it to the Secretary to circulate to the other members of the Sub-Committee, for the addition of the figures for the other Services and for comments.
