THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Minute by the Secretary (J.I.C./204/45 dated 15th February, 1945) covering an appreciation by General Strong of the extent of the use of deception by the Germans, This had not been great. COLONEL BEVAN said that since General Strong's letter had been written an interrogation report had been received which indicated that the Germans had devoted a considerable effort to deception.
