X discussing this whole question at the next meeting of C.I.O.S. MR. LAWRENCE thought that applications for visits to the more important objectives in Russian hands should now be passed to the Russians without delay. COLONEL WHITE suggested that the Combined Intelligence objectives Sub-Committee should be informed that it might be difficult to arrange for many investigators to visit the objectives in Russian hands and that their proposals should be drawn up with a view to keeping to a minimum the number and strength of parties.
